There’s a funny thing about dengue fever. It’s color blind, agnostic, asexual, apolitical. It doesn’t care if you are rich or poor, tourist or kama’aina, Republican or Democrat, live on the Big Island or Oahu, have health insurance or not. It’s a community disease and cuts across all swaths of society. We are all in this together.
So help your neighbors clear breeding sites and teach them how to make traps – or if they can’t, consider making traps for them. It will help clear the mosquitoes from your home too.
